March Air Force Base – Riverside, California

C-17 Alter Hanger Tower is a maintenance facility for the Air Force to work on C-17 transport planes that are currently taking troops to and from Iraq. This system used two Honeywell software programs called Lon spec and Lon station. The Lon spec program is used to write a program that controls any and all functions of the heating and air conditioning system. For example it will turn the system on and off, open and close dampers any where in the system to meet the heat or cooling needs of a given zone. The Lon Station program gave us the ability to monitor this system and control it from a remote location off base.
